Welcome to how to make a canvas tote bag.  They are used so we don’t have to use plastic bags at stores.  We bought the totes at hy-vee, Michaels, Hobby Lobby and even found some at garage sales.  Once we have the bags, we need fabric paint (we got ours at hobby lobby and michaels).  We used cookie cutters as our stencils.  We put magazines in the bags so the paint won’t soak through.   We used a paint brush to smear the paint as we held the cookie cutter down hard so it doesn’t move all over the bags.   Lay it flat so it can dry for about 1 or 2 hours.  Then take to stores so you don’t have to use their plastic bags.  This will help the earth stay clean.  P.S.  Plastic bags don’t ever decay and pollute the environment.
